My portrait idea was highly inspired by photographer Chris Crisman’s project ‘Women’s Work’ where he captures women at their jobs, wearing their different uniforms and looking fierce as hell doing it. I love the quality of Crisman’s images, his compositions and the lighting techniques he uses to highlight the surroundings and make them really stand out beautifully. The women in the photos are well engaged with the photographer as he displays a variety of facial expressions and poses which allows the viewer to really get a grasp of the story and emotion behind each image. This is what I aim to portray through my images in a similar manner and hope to create as good a portrait as all of these are.
