CAR COMP

In Chris’ digital darkroom lesson, he showed us how to compose an image made up of elements from different photographs and also how to make them look as realistic as possible by adding in essential factors like shadows to ensure the object being composed in (the car in this case) not to look so much like a floating object in the middle of the page.
Chris taught us how to use the pen tool on photoshop to create points around the object like an outline which can also be manipulated to make perfect curves around the object’s edges. It’s fairly simple to do once you get the hang of it!
My image consists of two elements; the background and the car with added shadow underneath. Shadow is added by using the hue/saturation tool to darken a created shape and be placed accordingly, usually underneath the object, to mimic the natural direction of light.
