So while messing around on photoshop, I discovered a filter called ‘cyanotype’ which envelopes the photograph in a bluish-grey toned monochromatic layer that completely accentuates the contrast between light and dark in the image. It’s quite stunning I feel, especially in comparison to the images featuring colour. It completely turns the mood of the image on its head and offers such an eerie and mysterious complexity to some already hard to read photographs. I love it!
